Awards for the 2016 and 2021 Comics!

The Global Kid: A VR/AR Political Comic Book (2021) is the winner of the:

1) Moonbeam Children's Book Awards in the US in the Comic Book category (before it has even launched!)

And finalist in the:

1) 2021 Digital Female Leader Awards in Germany in the Global Hero category

 

The Global Kid: A Political Comic Book (2016) is the winner of the:

1) 2016 Wonder Woman Award in NYC at the Wonder Women Summit;

2) 2017 INSPAD Peace Award in Pakistan given by the think tank, Institute for Peace and Development;

3) 2017 WEF Excellence Award in Iceland given by the Women Economic Forum, a chapter of the ALL Ladies League – "a global conference to foster empowering conversations and connections among women committed to foster constructive change in ALL walks of life."

4) *2018-2019 Educators Challenge in Sweden – The Global Kid and other finalists were featured at the Nov 2018 Paris Peace Forum (winners will be announced in early March 2019, fingers crossed! Here is my video explaining the project for the judges).

5) *2019 Next Generation Foresight Practitioner Award in UK/Belgium – The Global Kid and other winning projects were presented in Brussels to members of the European Commission and European Parliament, as well as leading figures from the UN, nonprofits and education.

6) *2021 Independent Press Awards in US – Distinguished Favorite in Education Category

 

It was also nominated for the:

*2019: 2019 British Muslim Awards in the UK - finalist in the Service to Education category.

*2017 Le Prix de la BD alternative du Festival International de la BD d'Angoulême in France (2017 Alternative Comics Award at the second largest comics festival in Europe)
